Clean-Up Campaigns

The city will conduct city-wide cleanup campaigns during the year to afford residents and opportunity to dispose of brush, bulky items and white goods.

Regulations

  • It shall be the duty of any person to place items for collection only after official city notification.
  • It shall be unlawful to place any such items at or near curbside at any time that is outside the time frame noted in the collection schedule.
  • The person, firm or corporation violating any provisions of the Garbage and Rubbish Ordinance shall be fined:
    • Not less than $100
    • Not more than $500 for each offense
    • Separate offenses shall be deemed committed on each day during which the violation occurs or continues to occur.
  • Residents will be notified of the brush, bulky items and white goods collection schedule.
  • The crew will pass by your house only once
  • Trucks will not go back over the same route
  • Brush/Bulky items placed for collection after trucks have gone by are a violation of the Garbage Ordinance mentioned previously.
  • Please do not place items to be picked up in the following locations:
    • In front of parked cars near fences, trees, mailboxes
    • Beneath overhead wires or low hanging tree limbs
    • On top of water meters
